The town council voted to approve up to $60,000.00 for the cost of clean up/remediation of the Colonial Beach Town Meeting Room and Cooper Branch Library. The work began on Monday October 22 and is expected to be complete within 8 days.
The issues with the mold were discovered in late September, after staff at the Colonial Beach Library noticed black specs forming around the air vents in the library and on the carpets directly in the path of air flow of the vents.
