Class of 2019 Graduation Moved
Traditionally High School Graduation in Colonial Beach has always been held on Sunday during the week of the Potomac River Fall Festival. However the School Board approved the 2018-19 school year calendar which calls for graduation to be held the Saturday before Father’s Day.
In order to hold graduation on Saturday next year, it had to be moved to the following week. The town uses the high school parking lot on Festival Saturday to check in parade participants. The Colonial Beach School Board also tries not to create a conflict with the County’s Graduation schedule so families can attend both if they desire.
