Colonial Beach Town Manager Resigns

6:00 p.m. Update:

Only Vice Mayor Dallas Leamon has responded to email requests for comments and he has declined to comment. “I have no comment, I respectfully refer you to the Mayor.” Leamon wrote.

Leamon and Councilman Bill Dellar were the two council members who originally called for the special meeting on the morning of September 29 which resulted in the Town Manager’s resignation,

Town Manager Quinn Robertson put in his resignation this morning at the special meeting of the Colonial Beach Town Council.

The council came out of closed session accepting his resignation with 3 months severance pay.

Rob Murphy will be acting Town Manager.

Earlier this week council announced they would be conducting a special meeting of the council to “discuss a certain employee’s performance”.

After going into closed session with all members of council except Stephen Cirbee the council announce that Robertson had put in his resignation. The council voted to accept the resignation granting Robertson 3 months severance pay.

We are awaiting a statement from council members and will bring that to you as soon as we receive it.

The meeting began at 8 a.m. and let out shortly after 2:30 p.m.
