Colonial Beach Fall Festival Moved to Sunday

Colonial Beach will hold their 5th Annual Fall Festival on Sunday ,October 28 from 11 am – 5 pm on Town Hill.

Concerns about the impending storm have some citizens worried that Saturday will be cold and windy so the event will be held on Sunday rather than Saturday as originally planned.

Last week the Chamber of Commerce said in a press release, “Thank you to those who have contacted us about the possibility of bad weather this Saturday. Our first choice is to have the Fall Festival and 16th Annual Golf Cart Parade on Saturday, October 27, as planned.”

Colonial Beach Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Susan Mack said, “The weather reports are looking better and better so we are truly hoping to keep it on Saturday. But if the weather makes that impossible, we will move the Fall Festival and Golf Cart Parade to Sunday, October 28th.”

The Chamber announced they will make a Facebook post on Friday morning once a decision is made and will make direct contact with officials, vendors, and support staff if a date change is needed.

Today the Chamber announced, “Due to the weather, the Colonial Beach Fall Festival will be rescheduled to this Sunday, October 28, 2019.  Same times for all events!”
