Man Killed in Single Vehicle Crash in Lancaster County
On Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at approximately 8:08 p.m., the Virginia State Police responded to a single vehicle crash with fatality at Windmill Point Road (Route 695), .2 miles east of Oyster House Road (Route 775).
According to a press release issued by Virginia State Police, Public Relations Officer Keeli Hill, “The trooper’s preliminary investigation reveals that a 2002 Subaru 4-door, driven by, Gary Frederick Boswell, 61, of White Stone, Va., was traveling eastbound on Route 695 when he ran off road right while in a curve, over corrected left back onto roadway, and finally running off road left striking an embankment and several trees.”
Boswell was not wearing his seat belt. Unfortunately, Boswell succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Speed is being considered a factor into the cause of the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
