FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Merry Point Ferry in Lancaster County is back in service after repairs were made to the vessel’s hydraulic pumps.
The Merry Point Ferry ceased operation on Wednesday, Dec. 26 after the pumps malfunctioned.

The Merry Point Ferry is a free ferry service operated by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). Located on scenic byway Route 604 (Merry Point Road and Ottoman Ferry Road), it crosses the western end of the Corrotoman River.
