Colonial Beach Community Foundation Announces Reorganization, New Website

Colonial Beach, VA | January 18, 2019.  Throughout 2018, the Colonial Beach Community Foundation worked on a reorganization to broaden the scope and reach of the Foundation. The Foundation’s new logo emphasizes the sense of vitality of the community. The new tagline, “Enhancing the quality of life in and around Colonial Beach” underscores the direction of the Foundation which is to play a more fundamental role in improving the lives of the residents of Colonial Beach and nearby communities. Also with the reorganization comes a new website, www.cbcommunityfoundation.org.

The mission of the Foundation Board is to substantially increase its assets to provide assistance to other organizations and residents. To accomplish this, the Board has reorganized to focus on new initiatives. There are three vice president positions: Administration, Organizational Impact, and Member Engagement. Under each of these are subcommittees that are open to any residents who would like to be involved.

The Board of the Colonial Beach Community Foundation is dedicated to helping make Colonial Beach an attractive, welcoming and diverse place to live, work, play, and visit.  The Board welcomes the involvement of the community in accomplishing these goals.
