WEATHER FORECAST:
Friday wake up to 31 degrees and cloudy skies at 6 a.m.
Despite temperatures rising to 38 by 10 a.m. some weather experts are predicting some snow flurries.
However with such high temperatures it is unlikely anything will stick on the ground. VDOT has not issued any plans to pre-treat roads for icy conditions, nor have any schools issued any closings as of midnight on Thursday.
The National Weather service states rain is likely on Friday but mainly after 1pm.
The temperature will rise to 40 by noon holding steady until 6 p.m. A chance of rain or possibly snow is predicted for later in the day with precipitation percentages between 47% to 70%, starting at around 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.
Rain or possibly snow is predicted off an on throughout the evening with temperatures in the mid to high 30’s all evening.
Saturday wake up to cloudy skies and 32 degrees at 6 a.m. Saturday is predicted to be partly sunny, with a high near 48. Light and variable wind becoming east 5 to 7 mph in the morning.
