Boardwalk Vendor Program Expands To All Municipal Property

The town council held an advertised public hearing at their May 1 work-session to pass amendments to the town’s boardwalk vendor program.

Only one member of the public, Jay Jarvis, spoke on the matter and he commended the council for finally making the changes to allow vendors to rent town owned spaces beyond just the boardwalk area. “We’re eight years overdue on it.”

Council member Steve Cirbee expressed some concerns over the town manager’s authority to enforce the code, suggesting a clear list of violation be drafted for vendors to look at. Cirbee also expressed concerns over vendors being placed in right-of-way’s.
