Second Annual Northern Neck Beach Music Festival Coming to Colonial Beach
Day of live music and fun to benefit Colonial Beach Community Foundation
Colonial Beach, Virginia
The 2nd Annual Northern Neck Beach Music Festival will be held September 14 on Town Hill in Colonial Beach. The fun begins at 11 am (gates open at 10:30) with live music, shag dance lessons, dance contest, silent auction, food, and beverages.
Beach music bands, Feature Attraction Band (F.A.B.), The Rhondels, and The Embers keep fans on their feet. Don’t know how to shag dance? No problem, there will be dance lessons and even a contest. Vendors will offer food and beverages, including beer and wine, for purchase.
Denson’s Grocery—a popular local restaurant—will offer their local, fresh, never-frozen crab cakes, fried and grilled oysters. Colonial Beach Brewing is bringing three of their beers: one hoppy, one light, one dark. Michelle’s Sweet Treats, located in Warsaw, will have delicious sweets for sale. NN Popcorn Bag will sell, you guessed it, some of their specialty popcorns. Beers from Richmond brewery Hardywood and Williamsburg brewery Alewerks will be available as well as wine. Other food and beverages will also be available for purchase.
Colonial Beach resident Eric Nelson has created a new beautifully vibrant piece of art to highlight the Northern Neck Beach Music Festival. Nelson paints with a thick acrylic gel on mylar sheeting, creating radiant images. The original artwork will be part of the silent auction.
Hosted by the Colonial Beach Community Foundation, with support from the Colonial Beach Chamber of Commerce and Colonial Beach Recreation Association, proceeds benefit the non-profit Foundation, which raises funds for community projects and to enhance the quality of life for local residents.
A limited number of Premier Tents will be available for rental as well as reserved and general admission party ground tent spaces to bring your own tent for the day.
Advance tickets are available for $25 each from Colonial Beach businesses, including Raggs, Coldwell Banker Elite, Denson’s, Colonial Beach Chamber of Commerce, Riverview Inn and Hall’s Supermarket.
