Fire On Sixth Street
At approximately 1 p.m. a home near the Colonial Beach News headquarters caught fire. Luckily the occupant was not in the home at the time of the fire and no one was hurt.
Firefighters from Colonial Beach, Oak Grove and King George responded to the blaze and quickly got it under control before it could damage any of the surrounding properties.
Colonial Beach Police and Rescue Squad also responded to the call.
