Farnham Resident Charged In Crash Involving Horse Drawn Buggy.

On Wednesday October 13, at 5:44, Virginia State Police responded to a call for an accident involving a horse-drawn buggy.

The crash occurred on Route 3 (Historyland Highway) approximately 3/10 of a mile west of Route 614 (Folly Neck Road.) in Richmond County

Twenty- nine (29) year old Farnham resident Tracy L. Churchill has been charged with reckless driving following a horse-pulled buggy involved crash.

According to VSP investigation of the crash revealed that a horse-drawn buggy carrying two passengers was struck from behind by a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. The Jeep was driven by 29 year old, Tracy L. Churchill, a resident of Farnham.

Churchill has been charged with reckless driving.

The two occupants of the buggy were both thrown from the vehicle with it was struck. The both sustained serious injuries and the horse had to be humanely put down due to his injuries.

Churchill, the driver of the vehicle that hit the buggy was not injured.
