Sad news for many in the Northern Neck who knew Bruce and Logan Woodworth. Two men who seemed to live life to the fullest, cut short by a plane crash.
The men posted on their facebook page yesterday at 1 p.m. that they were heading to Leedstown area to do some snakehead fishing.

In May Logan completed a flight around the U.S, celebrating his return home to Wilmington North Carolina on May 22.


Sadly both men were involved in a plane crash this morning in Colonial Beach and both lost their lives due to the crash.
According to the Virginia State Police:
At 10:28 a.m. this morning, (June 7), Virginia State Police responded to a plane crash in the area of Layton Landing Rd. in Colonial Beach, Va. A Vans R6 model single-engine plane had crashed in a cornfield near a driveway, then, caught fire.
The pilot, Logan Edward Woodworth, 28, and his passenger as Bruce Edward Woodworth, 57, both of Wilmington, Nc., formerly residents of the Northern Neck, were both confirmed deceased on the scene.
No one on the ground was injured.
The FAA and NTSB will be investigating the crash.
This crash remains under investigation.
