King George Deputies Nab 4 Suspects and confiscate cash, an AR-15, marijuana and multiple bags of a suspected controlled substance after stopping two cars from street racing.
According to a press release from King George Sheriff’s office, on September 26th at approximately 1:18 AM, Deputy Tully of King George Sheriff’s Office observed two vehicles traveling at a high rate of speed heading northbound on Rt. 301 in the area of Port Conway Rd. Deputy Tully attempted to catch up to the vehicles, which were traveling in excess of 100 mph, while Deputy Nobles responded to the area to assist. A traffic stop was conducted on the two vehicles in the area of Ed’s Drive.
The investigation led deputies to seize a large amount of evidence to include an AR-15 rifle, multiple baggies of a white powder suspected to be a controlled deadly substance, over 2 lbs of marijuana, and over $12,000 in cash.
Four people were arrested as a result of the traffic stop. Those arrested are 30 yo Steven McCain of South Carolina, 28 yo Imani Jackson of Maryland, 31 yo Desmond Miller of West Virginia, and 40 yo Tavon Fowlkes of Maryland. All were arrested on drug related charges including distribution. Driver Steven McCain is also facing charges in reference to the firearm and Reckless Driving/Racing. Driver Imani Jackson is also facing a Reckless Driving/Racing charge. All were held on no bond and transported to the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
