Downtown Colonial Beach has been working with VDOT and town officials to be given the permission to place banners along Colonial Ave. which VDOT still maintains and controls.
Board of Directors Member Glenda Chiarello thanked town staff for their assistance in securing the agreement between VDOT and town in order to allow the group to place decorative and informational banners across Colonial Ave.
“This effort has been a model of how the town’s non profit agencies work together to do important things for the town.” Chiarello said. “By providing groundwork, research, preparing paper work and supplying funding needed to bring the beautification project to fruition without relaying on tax payer funding.”
