Council Questions Profitability Of Bike Fest

A discussion of staff revisions to special event packets sparked a conversation regarding Colonial Beach Bike Fest during the December 8 town council work session. These discussions revealed that council members have concerns that Bike Fest creates more costs than benefits for the town. Vice Mayor Dallas Leamon, who was chairing the meeting, requested that town Manager Quinn Robertson urge members of the Colonial Beach Chamber of Commerce to attend the January work session to weigh revenue generated, against expenses created by the bike fest.
