Wind Chill Advisory Noon – 6 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory in effect from noon until 6 p.m.

* AREAS AFFECTED: Portions of south central, central, and eastern
Virginia, and the lower eastern shore of Maryland and Virginia.

* WINDS: West to southwest 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 to 45
mph, shifting to the west to northwest late in the afternoon.

* TIMING: The strongest winds are expected during the mid to late
afternoon hours.

* IMPACTS: Strong winds may blow down limbs, trees, and power
lines. Isolated power outages will be possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult…especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
