Important message from the Town of Colonial Beach: Please be advised that town administrative offices will be closed on Monday, February 18th in observance of Presidents’ Day. There will be no trash pickup on Monday. Monday’s route will be picked up on Tuesday, February 19th.

Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office Scam Alert:

We have been made aware that some of our citizens are receiving phone calls from someone identifying themselves as a Sheriff’s Office employee. The caller asks for a donation for one of our programs. While we do accept donations for various programs we do not ask for donations through phone calls. Please do not send them money. The number will show as a Sheriff’s Office phone number on caller I.D., so it leads the caller to believe they are one of our staff.

King George County Sheriff’s Office Scam Alert:

The King George Sheriff’s Office has been notified by its citizens of a phone scam. Citizens have reported receiving phone calls from the Sheriff’s Office phone number, 540-775-2049. The caller states they will have a warrant taken out for the individual’s arrest for not appearing for jury duty. The caller then requests money for bail. If you receive any calls similar to this, do not provide any personal information or pay any money until you are able to verify this information with our office.
