Notice to Sunday Paper subscribers:
I have decided to eliminate the Sunday Paper Tier from my Patreon page. This decision did not come lightly but it was a change I felt I had to make. My decison was based on the lack of interest.
I have offered this tier since the page began but have only had 3 people sign up for this tier. There are currently only 2.
I work solely for subscriptions. I take in no advertisements. This is currently my only job and growing a new business is hard without outside funding. I am reluctant to seek out crowd source funding as I would much rather people sign up for my site and get something in return, rather than me take advantage of someone’s generosity.
In order to prepare the Sunday edition I have to do at least 4 hours of work each Sunday, to ensure the stories are open to $3 tier subscribers, to determine which PSA’s to include based on what has already passed or to determine what stories, such as weather related, are no longer of interest.
Until subscriptions rise to a level that will sustain my living I must find work elsewhere, so time spent attending meetings, writing stories and growing this business is at a premium.
The purpose of offering a daily news site is to provide news DAILY, not on a weekly basis. That is what gives my readers the edge over the other weekly paper. Getting daily and breaking news from a trusted source is my goal for all my subscribers.
With that in mind I have eliminated the $3 tier, so new patrons will not be offered this price. However I am so grateful to the two remaining members that I will continue to give the two of you daily access for as long as you continue to pledge $3 a month. You are welcome to upgrade to $5 but it is not necessary.
So this will be the last edition of the Sunday Paper! You will continue to receive news but on a daily basis just as the $5 subscribers would. Thank you for your patronage.
CEO, Writer, Photographer, Editor, Marketing Etc. Linda Farneth
