Citizen From The Classic Shores and Riverside Meadows Subdivisions Give Input For Comprehensive Plan

One of the new goals approved by the Colonial Beach Planning Commission is to “update the Comp Plan with as much citizen input as possible, study each chapter and create a method of addressing the future.” The commission is now starting with chapter 2 of the comprehensive plan.
Chapter 2 should relay the issues facing residents within every neighborhood of a locality. This gives someone new, coming to town, a glimpse of what challenges each neighborhood faces and what problems an investor or new resident may face if purchasing land in that area.
To accomplish providing accurate up-to-date information on each neighborhood the planning commission has included in their Year 2019 Goals; Hosting joint meetings (in various neighborhoods) with various citizens, neighbors & committees to seek input and address common visions and goals.
Last Thursday Commissioners Pam Tolsen, Fletcher Lee and Maureen McCabe met with residents from the Classic Shores and Riverside Meadows Residents.
