Friday wake up to 65 at 6 a.m. Temperatures will be in the low 70’s throughout the day and drop into the high 60s starting after 7 p.m. When the cold front comes through between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. expect temperatures to drop into the low 60’s.
Friday will be breezy. In the evening a cold front will move through. The front may bring severe weather. The risk of severe storms will be scattered.
If your home normally floods in Colonial Beach you have a 40% chance of some flooding during these storms.
Colonial Beach has a 40% chance of damaging winds in any storm that develops. Damaging winds are 60 mph or more.
Tornado risk for CB will be 30% in any storms that develop. We are in the low end of risk between 20 to 30 %.
Risk of large hail in Colonial Beach is about 20% if any storms pop up in our area.
Regardless of storms, expect gusts between 25 to 30 mph. throughout the day Friday. Some storms can start ahead of the front as early as noon until 4 p.m. A break may occur for a few hours then between 7 to 8 p.m. more storms may pop up.
The chance for the most severe weather will be between 11:00 pm to 2:00 a.m. Saturday morning as the front moves through.
An upper level low will move through the Blue Ridge Saturday evening. But it should not pose a threat to us in the Northern Neck. Sunday looks fairly good.
