Prescription Discount Cards From Colonial Beach
Colonial Beach News
Are you uninsured? Are you insured, but have some prescriptions not covered by your insurance? Then it would benefit you greatly to take advantage of the prescription discount cards now available at town hall or through the town’s website.
The Town of Colonial Beach has a new program that offers savings on prescription drugs to all town residents who are without health insurance, a traditional benefits plan, or have prescriptions that are not covered by their own insurance.
By using this card, you may save an average of 23% off the regular retail price of prescription drugs at participating pharmacies.
Councilwoman Robin Schick announced the town’s prescription discount program at the April 17 town council meeting.
Robin Schick announced, Town Hall has pamphlets that have discount cards for prescriptions for both humans and animals. The cards are good at CVS, Rite Aid and Walmart. “We are now signed up through the National League of Cities to a nationwide discount program for prescription drugs.”
The National League of Cities (NLC) Prescription Discount Card is a FREE program offered to help you save money on the high cost of prescription medications. This prescription discount card is brought to you by your city government in collaboration with the NLC. Use the card anytime your prescriptions are not covered by insurance.
The NLC Prescription Discount Card program is available only to member cities of the National League of Cities.
Schick said the card averages 24% off retail price. There are around 500 cards at town hall. They can be used for individuals or families. You can also download them.
“The discount also applies to pets.” Schick said.
To discover the savings and learn more about the program, go to access the program online and print a card, check drugs prices, and locate participating pharmacies.
