Wake up to 67 degrees at 6 a.m. on Tuesday. A thunderstorm is probable in the morning around 8 a.m. Tempertures will rise through the 70’s reaching 82 degrees by noon.

Despite cloudy skies the temperature will continue to heat up reaching 87 by 2 p.m. and a high of 90 by 4 p.m.

The evening will bring more storms and drop temperatures slightly. By 8 p.m. the temperature will drop to 84 degrees and dip to 76 by midnight. Wake up to 71 at 6 a.m.

PSA:

Monday’s and Tuesday’s trash will be picked up on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. Wednesday pickups will return to normal.

Caroline County Sheriff’s Office is still asking for the public’s assistance in locating Attempt to Locate a person wanted for failure to appear in court and is a person of interest in a recent theft.

Caroline County Sheriff, Tony Lippa, is asking for the community’s assistance in locating a wanted person. 58 year-old Joseph Leroy Carter of Fredericksburg is currently wanted by the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office for failing to appear in court.

Carter is also a person of interest in recent thefts in Caroline County and has been seen in the area of Stonewall Jackson Road in Caroline as recently as May 23, 2019.

The truck and license plate pictured below is believed to be the vehicle regularly driven by Carter. If you see Joseph Carter, immediately call 911. Do not approach him or attempt to detain him. Carter should be considered dangerous.

Come volunteer to pick up trash around our precious shoreline. Registration is at 8:30-9am, we provide bags, gloves, and a free t-shirt. You get assigned in groups to areas in need around Colonial Beach, when you’re done come back and share what you found and get lunch. Find out more about efforts to clean the bay and our local community oyster bed!
