Weather

Wake up 66 degrees at 6 a.m. on Saturday. We will see partly sunny skies and it appears no rain is in the forecast for the early morning so it will be clear skies for those who volunteer in the Save The Bay Day! (Details below)

By 10 a.m. the temperature will be 75 degrees and by noon it will be 80.

The 2 p.m. temperature will be 83 and the high will be 84 at 4 p.m. By evening temperatures will drop slightly dipping to 82 by 6 p.m.

After 7 p.m. temperatures will drop quickly through the 70’s reaching 68 by midnight. It will be a good evening for BBQ!

Overnight temperatures will be in the mid 60’s. Wake up to 65 at 6 a.m. on Sunday.

Registration on the Dock at Colonial Beach Yacht Center/Dockside

Come volunteer to pick up trash around our precious shoreline. Registration is at 8:30-9am, we provide bags, gloves, and a free t-shirt. You get assigned in groups to areas in need around Colonial Beach, when you’re done come back and share what you found and get lunch. Find out more about efforts to clean the bay and our local community oyster bed!

VDOT Hot Spots May 26 – June 1

Caroline County/King George County Work Zone

Route 301 at Rappahannock River (James Madison Bridge)

Monday – Saturday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane on Route 301 northbound and southbound near the James Madison Bridge over the Rappahannock River for a bridge maintenance project. Expect brief delays on the bridge and at the bridge approaches.
