KGSO Seeking Public’s Assistance In Suspicious Death

The King George Sheriff’s Office is requesting anyone with information concerning a suspicious death on October 26 in King George County to please come forward.

KGSO said in a press release, “We are asking the public’s assistance with the following investigation:”

On October 26th 2019 at approximately 7:19 AM, King George Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a male lying on the ground on the shoulder of Dahlgren Rd. in King George. Law Enforcement and EMS responded to the scene and confirmed that the man was deceased.

Initial investigation by King George Sheriff’s Office indicates that on Friday October 25th 2019, between 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM, 44 year-old Jose Mendez of King George was walking westbound on the shoulder of Dahlgren Rd. near Hill Dr. in front of the Williams Creek Office Park when he was struck and killed during a hit and run motor vehicle crash.
