Mayor Blunt, “The Statues Are Alive!”
Mayor Eddie Blunt said the statues placed at the Colonial Ave Pedestrian Park have been getting a lot of attention.
“There’s a lot more coming, I don’t want to give it away. But I promise you, you’re going to be impressed with what is coming. I think that is going to be relatively soon. You’ll see more changes coming. So the statues are alive!”
Originally the Colonial Ave Pedestrian Plaza funding was sought after to build an “end cap” to compliment the work being completed along the South side of the boardwalk and in the central area of town along the boardwalk, using Community Development Block Grant money. The Boardwalk improvements were part of a revitalization project that has been many years in the making.
