Fredericksburg Police are trying to locate 32 year old Jeffery Brown who is a suspect in a double shooting that occurred yesterday morning at Valor Apartments in Fredericksburg and left two victims critically injured.
Yesterday morning, at approximately 9:45 a.m., the Fredericksburg E-911 Center received a call for shots fired in an apartment in the 1100 block of Tuckahoe Drive.
At 10 a.m. Fredericksburg Police issued the following Crime Alert:
“Fredericksburg Police are actively investigating an incident in the Valor Apartments. There is a heavy police presence in the neighborhood. Please avoid the area until further notice.”
When patrol officers arrived at the incident, they found a male and female with gunshot wounds, and immediately provided first aid.
Rescue arrived shortly after and the two victims where transported to a nearby hospital.
Both victims remain in the hospital in critical condition.
Brown, who has no fixed address, is wanted on the following charges:
• Attempted second degree murder (two counts)
• Malicious wounding (two counts)
• Entering a dwelling to commit murder
• Felon in possession of a firearm
• Discharging a firearm in a public place or dwelling
• Use of a firearm to commit a felony
• Discharge a firearm within the city limits
Brown is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, do not approach him and call the police immediately.
