According to the Fredericksburg Police Department 26 year old Christopher Alexander of Fredericksburg has been charged with murder after autopsy reports revealed that his room mate was murdered.
On Saturday, September 11th, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Fredericksburg Police E-911 Center received a report from a concerned citizen who heard a single gunshot fired in an apartment in the 2000 block of Woodlyn Drive.
Patrol officers responded and met with one of the tenants who reported a female died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Upon further investigation and an autopsy, Fredericksburg Police detectives determined the victim was murdered.
Yesterday, September 15th, Fredericksburg Police arrested Christopher Alexander, 26, of Fredericksburg on the following charges:
• Second Degree Murder
• Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony
• Discharging a Firearm within the City of Fredericksburg limits Causing Injury
Alexander remains incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
The victim was identified as Amanda Seay, 27, of Fredericksburg. Seay and Alexander lived together.
