Another life has been taken too early due to a fatal motorcycle accident in Westmoreland County.
Sadly a Colonial Beach Man lost his life Saturday night in a fatal accident that occurred on Monroe Bay Circle in Westmoreland County Virginia.
According to Public Information Officer Sergeant Dylan Davenport, At 9:38 p.m. on Saturday (Oct 2) Virginia State Police responded to a single vehicle motorcycle crash on Monroe Bay Circle in Westmoreland County Virginia, approximately 3/10 of a mile west of Wakefield Drive.
According to the release 47 year old Robert K. Bowen, was headed west on Monroe Bay Circle when the 2006 Harley Davidson he was driving, ran off the road.
The area where the crash occurred was on an area that curved to the right. Bowen’s motorcycle ran off the road to the left side.
Bowen was thrown from his motorcycle and struck a tree. Although Bowen was wearing a helmet he sadly succumbed to his injuries on the scene.
