VSP Makes Second Plea For Tips In Fatal Westmoreland Crash

Virginia State Police Trooper D.M. Goodard is still seeking tips related to a fatal crash investigation that occurred in the Northern Neck back in August. 

Police are still trying to find information concerning a car that may have been involved in the fatal crash that killed 26 year old Calvin L Harris Jr. of Colonial Beach Virginia.

According to police, ongoing investigations, a blue sedan may have played a role in the cause of the crash.

The crash occurred at 12:38 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, on Route 205/James Monroe Highway at the intersection with Stony Knoll/Route 628 in Westmoreland County.

Investigations have determined that Calvin L Harris Jr. was driving a 2019 Dodge Charger heading west on James Monroe Highway. The Charger ran off the right side of the Highway and struck a tree and overturned.

Sadly Harris, who was not wearing a seat belt was ejected from the car, during the accident and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
