And So It Begins – VSP On Scene Of Multi-Vehicle Accident I-81 Roanoake County

TRAFFIC ALERT: Northbound I-81 in #Roanoke County – Detour in place;

Please avoid traveling along I-81#VSP are on the scene of a multi-vehicle backup on Interstate 81 in Roanoke County.

At approximately 12:05 p.m. Sunday (1/16), a tractor-trailer jackknifed and the cab disconnected from the trailer in the northbound lanes of I-81 at the 134 mile marker.

A wrecker is on scene working to get the tractor-trailer re-connected, so the northbound lanes can be cleared and traffic can begin moving again.

However, in the backup of traffic, there are two additional reported traffic crashes – one with minor injuries reported and the other with no reported injuries.

Fire and EMS have responded to the scene.
