On March 26, 2022, King George will hold their annual hazardous waste collection day. Bring your hazardous waste to the Sealston Convenience Center at 10376 Bullock Drive from 9-2 on 3/26.
You may have hazardous waste that is already accepted on a daily basis, so check the two lists below to see what items can be brought every day and what items need to be brought in on HW Collection Day.
We accept the following household hazardous waste daily:
• Automotive products (antifreeze, motor oil, oil filters, polish and wax)
• Batteries (home and vehicle) and electronics (TV, computers, laptops, cell phones, printers, fax machines, MP3 players, DVD/CD/tape players, and more)
• Fluorescent light bulbs and compact fluorescent lamps (CFL)
• Latex paint
• Sharps (needles and lancets)
The following household hazardous waste is only accepted on our Household Hazardous Waste Day:
• Gasoline, kerosene, brake fluid and power steering fluid
• Household cleaners (ammonia, drain cleaner, rust remover, and more)
• Universal materials (include mercury containing items: thermometers, thermostats)
• Oil-based paint products, spray paint, caulk, wood preservative, wood stain)
• Garden chemicals (pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, insecticides)
• Swimming Pool Chemicals
