At the request of the Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office, the Virginia State Police have initiated an investigation into the disappearance of an elderly resident.
Mr. William Sylvester Hopewell, 73, of Colonial Beach, Va., was last seen on March 16, 2022 walking along Macedonia Road in Westmoreland County.
His family last spoke with him on March 16, 2022, which was by phone.
Since his disappearance, there have been multiple irregular transactions related to his credit/debit cards.
