UPDATE: Police have released a surveillance photo of the suspect in last weeks’ armed robbery of InFirst Credit Union in Dahlgren and are asking the public for assistance in identifying the suspect.

According a press release issued by the King George Sheriff’s Office an armed suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash after robbing the InFirst Credit Union in Dahlgren this afternoon.
According to the report the suspect entered the InFirst Credit Union located in Dahlgren near the Walmart wearing a mask and brandishing a firearm. The employee who called in the robbery identified the suspect as a white male. The suspect passed a not to the teller demanding cash while displaying a firearm.
The call came into the KGSO through 911 on Thursday, September 15th at 3:16 p.m.
Sheriff’s deputies responded and saturated the area. The investigation determined that the suspect was no longer at the scene. Detectives and a K-9 unit also responded to the scene.
The suspect fled the credit union in an unknown direction of travel. There were no injuries reported.
This incident is currently under investigation.
