KGSO K-9 officer Whiskey Apprehends Violent Abductor

King George Sheriff’s Deputies and K-9 units track down and apprehended an abducting suspect who was reported to have kidnapped his victim wielding a machete and forcing her into his vehicle. The first deputy on scene located the victim and provided first aid, while other deputies began tracking the suspect with the help of two k-9 units.

Despite the suspect striking K-9 Whiskey several times with a chain, Whiskey still subdued the suspect while human officers took him into custody.

On Thursday, October 20th at 12:40 AM, King George Sheriff’s Office was contacted by a female stating that a male subject broke into her residence and kidnapped her adult daughter. The caller, who resides in the Gulvey Loop area of King George County, advised the man broke into the residence holding a machete and forced her daughter out of the home and into a vehicle.

The suspect, identified as Harry Clay Pulliam Jr., 43 yo of Fredericksburg, was known to the victim. Pulliam was out on bond for domestic violence related charges against the same female victim.

Senior Deputy Dobson arrived on scene within minutes and observed the suspect vehicle stuck in a ditch not far from the residence where the abduction occurred. Pulliam saw the deputy coming and ran into the woods. Sr Deputy Dobson found the victim in the truck bleeding from her head. Sr Deputy Dobson provided first aid to the victim until EMS arrived on scene.

Deputies, including two K-9 units, responded to the area and began to track the suspect. As the deputies zeroed in on the suspect’s location, he took off running. Deputy Nobles deployed K-9 Whiskey who physically apprehended the suspect. During the apprehension, the suspect struck K-9 Whiskey multiple times with a chain. K-9 Whiskey subdued Pulliam who was then taken into custody.

EMS responded to the scene, treated, and released both the female victim and the suspect. Pulliam faces multiple charges to include Abduction, Burglary at Nighttime while Armed with a Deadly Weapon, 2 counts of Assault and Battery, and Animal Cruelty. He was transported to the Rappahannock Regional Jail and held on no bond.

There were no reported injuries to the deputies or the K-9.
