The Colonial Beach Planning Commission discussed location options to recommend for a dog park at their June meeting last Thursday. Caryn Self-Sullivan spoke on behalf of the organization, Colonial Beach River Dogs, requesting assistance from the Commission. Sullivan said the group has missed out on a $25,000.00 grant because the town council must approve a site as part of the grant application process.
