Weather

Wake up to 61 at 6 a.m. on Thursday morning. After yesterday’s cool weather today will seem really hot. Temperatures will rise to 68 by 9 a.m. and 78 by noon.

Skies will be partly sunny with a high of 86 at 4 p.m. In the evening the temperature will lower slightly with temperatures in the 70’s. By midnight the temperature will be 75.

Overnight temperatures will fall to 70 by 6 a.m. on Friday morning.

King George Alert: On the morning of 5-23-2019 there may be a brief interruption in water service in the area of Riverview Dr. and Second street while K.G.C.S.A. staff tends to a water leak. Tommy Tutone To Headline For 3rd Annual BAMM Benefit Concert

The Third Annual BAMM Benefit Concert is just a few weeks away on Saturday May 25, 2019. You don’t want to miss Tommy Tutone, famous for their hit song 867-5309/Jenny.

This event will be held at the Colonial Beach Community Center located on the Point in Colonial Beach Virginia at 717 Marshall Ave.

The BAMM Benefit Concert is a FREE fun day filled with music, art for the kids, great adult beverages, food from local vendors, and lots more.

May 25th Montross:

Block Party at the old Courthouse
Saturday, May 25, 5-8 pm

Music stylings by Potomac River Dixieland Trio, and gospel singers.
MC is Darryl Fisher.

Food will be available for purchase.

The original Westmoreland County Museum building, the Westmoreland Mercantile General Store and Montross Soda Shoppe, and the old Courthouse will be open during this event. If you have not stopped in to see the changes, here’s your chance.

Polk Street between the 3 buildings will be shutdown during this event. Remember dancing in the street there, here’s your chance to do it again!

Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM Save the Bay Day Year 8!

Registration on the Dock at Colonial Beach Yachter Center/Dockside

Come volunteer to pick up trash around our precious shoreline. Registration is at 8:30-9am, we provide bags, gloves, and a free t-shirt. You get assigned in groups to areas in need around Colonial Beach, when you’re done come back and share what you found and get lunch. Find out more about efforts to clean the bay and our local community oyster bed!
