Arrests Made – Augusta Child Khaleesi Cuthriell Still Missing

The two suspects who were believed to be the last people to see little 3 year old Khaleesi Cuthriell have been arrested and are being held in Westmoreland County Pennsylvania.

(Not to be confused with Westmoreland County Virginia)

In a bizare twist of events the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office and Virginia State Police learned that 3 year old Khaleesi Cuthriell was missing. The woman, Candi Joe Royer, who was supposed to be taking care of the girl was also reported missing and relatives stated they had not seen the little girl with Cani Royer since earlier this year in February.

Khaleesi’s mother Amanda Arey, an inmate at Middle River Regional Jail (MRRJ), reported to a Jail officer that she placed her three-year-old daughter, Khaleesi Cuthriell, in the care of Candi Royer in October of 2020.

Furthermore the Candi Royer’s boyfriend Travis Ryan Brown is a fugitive and was on the run. Police believed Khaleesi Cuthriell’s and Candi Royer’s disappearances were connected and they suspected the two might be with Brown.

Travis Brown is wanted on numerous charges including: Strangulation, Assault and Battery on a family member, unauthorized use of a vehicle, felony eluding, grand larceny, breaking and entering, just to name a few.

Brown/Royer Arrests Made September 12

According to a press release Members of the Pennsylvania State Police, and the United States Marshall’s Service contacted and arrested Travis Brown and Candi Royer at the Knights Inn, which is located at 1215 South Main Street in South Greensburg.

The arrests occurred without incident.

On Sunday, September 12, 2021, the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office received notification that authorities in Pennsylvania who were assisting the Sheriff’s Office in attempting to locate Travis Ryan Brown and Candi Joe Royer, had tracked the pair to the Borough of South Greensburg, Pennsylvania.

South Greensburg is located in western Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.

The release stated that On September 12, in a cooperative investigative effort, Investigators from the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) Appomattox Field office traveled to Pennsylvania to contact and interview Brown and Royer.

Both Royer and Brown are currently being held in the Westmoreland County [Pennsylvania] Prison, pending court hearings for their extradition back to Virginia to face numerous charges.

Augusta County Sheriff’s Office stated, “While we are pleased that Mr. Brown and Ms. Royer are in custody, the men and women of the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office will not rest until we discover the whereabouts of 3-year-old Khaleesi.”

Please note new additional charges on both Royer and Brown obtained by investigators from the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office on September 10, 2021.

Each is now charged with a single felony count of § 18.2-371.1. Abuse and neglect of children.

The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office is still requesting the public’s assistance in obtaining any information available on the whereabouts of Khaleesi Cuthriell.
